Boas in Captivity was written Vincent Russo to help guide herpetoculturists and hobbyists in the natural history of Boa constrictors, and also to aid in the captive care. This includes housing, feeding, health issues, breeding, and raising of flourishing, juvenile boas. The intriguing color morphs and pattern deviations that occur are showcased in both text and stunning photos. Boa constrictors are native to Central and South America. These complex snakes have the biggest geographic range of any reptile on Earth - spanning two continents from the Sonoran Desert in Mexico to Argentina. This comprises a geographic range of over 6 million square miles. Their habitats range from lowland desert oases to mountainous rainforests.
