This volume of Terralog  presents the venomous snakes that enhabit South America. Approximately 180 taxa that are currently recognized, or under the description of the families Elapidae and Viperidae. There are several colour variations included also. It is also a first for a few of these species - being included in a publication. Some of the controversial taxonomic issues have been addressed in the introduction to the book. Each photograph is complemented by a symbol-based summary of the individual species' biology and husbandry requirements. Over 600 colour photographs drive the Terralog series to be an illustrated reference, for scientists as well as private and zoo keepers.
